Founded in 1984, Tua Rita has become a successful producer of Super Tuscan wine and achieved international recognition. Giusto di Notri is their first wine ever made (in 1992) but also their signature wine with only 28,000 bottles produced each year. After spending 18 months in once used French oak barrel, the result is a stunning and opulent wine with deep dark fruits and great complexity.

Tua Rita story started in 1984 when Rita and Virgilio purchased the property. Their plan was to set a life together in contact with nature while farming their lands but, their passion for making wine completely changed their goals. Through time the original two hectares of vines located in the upper Maremma region in Tuscany have grown. Today Tua Rita has become a successful producer of ‘Super Tuscan’ wine and achieved international recognition. Their Redigaffi 2000 was the first Italian wine to be awarded 100pts from Robert Parker. The 30 hectares of vines are planted with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah but also with white grapes including Traminer, Riesling, Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Ansonica and Vermentino. They produce around 222000 bottles of wine a year and all reds are matured for at least 18 months in oak.
