Product description
Located opposite to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château de Montfaucon spreads over 45 hectares of vineyards. Today, owner Rudolphe de Pins, who made wine at Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe, follows sustainable practices and farms at low yields to create concentrated wines full of character.
A blend of 15 grapes – mainly Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah – this wine was fermented and aged in used barrels. Aromas of vibrant blackberry with notes of clove and sage. Full-bodied with firm tannins on the palate alongside savoury notes and a long finish.
Neat, compact, harmonious nose, with a similar profile on the palate. It’s tight, but certainly drinkable despite its youth, which is expressed through primary notes of blackberry, damson and lavender. Quite marked tight and tense tannins still, and a long finish. It’s a complete, well balanced wine that will age happily for many years.
