Château Moulin Saint-Georges is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé owned by the Vauthier family, who also owned well-respected Ch. Ausone. Well located on a south-west facing slope, the wine benefits from the expertise of the same team and is known to deliver terrific value.
Mainly made with Merlot and some Cabernet Franc and aged for up to 18 months in French oak barrel (85% new). Red and black berries on the nose with hints of violet and minerals. Medium-bodied, round and generous on the palate with fine tannins.
Awards
Fresh, red-berry aroma with an almost burgundian edge. Palate round, juicy and lifted with finely etched tannins. Harmonious and almost approachable now.
