    Product description

Grapes are sourced from 20-year-old vines in Berchidda, located on Mount Acuto in the Olbia-Tempio region of Sardinia. The grapes are hand-harvested to ensure the highest quality. The grapes undergo gentle pressing and are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 20 days. Each varietal is vinified individually, then blended after ageing for 24 months in new, medium-toast oak barriques. Aromas of blackberry jam, red berries, tobacco and menthol. Round with fine tannins, this is a full bodied and robust wine that is now ready to drink.

    About the producer: Unmaredivino

Sardinia deserves to be known more widely as a wine region, with a host of native grape varieties and sub-regions. Unmaredivino is a family run property based in the Berchidda area, founded in 1949 and now run by two brothers. The Vermentino di Gallura is a classic route to understanding Sardinian white wines; the Colli del Limbara red is from vineyards around Mount Limbara, one of the highest peaks on the island.
