We are very pleased to welcome Daniele Pelassa of the Pelassa Winery to Davy’s for masterclass in Barolo. Daniele runs the 12-hectare vineyard with brother Davide in Montà d’Alba, Piedmont. Their commitment and love of the job is helping them produce some stunning wines which are becoming more and more well recognized. The wines are very highly regarded and often win prizes at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
After an aperitif of the delicious, crisp Roero Arneis to freshen up your palate, Daniele will talk us through the history of the winery and winemaking in Piedmont. You will then taste some of the estate’s finest wines, including four fantastic Barolos including a compaison between aging in bottle versus magnum. The tasting will be followed by a specially prepared 4-course menu, with wine pairings. Daniele and members of our team will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Ticket price includes an aperitif followed by a tutored tasting, plus a glass selected to accompany each course at dinner. Please note, seating may be at communal tables, menus sometimes include sharing dishes.
