Product description
Owned by the same family for the past couple of centuries, Quinta da Silveira boasts 70 hectares of vineyards. Winemaker Rodrigo Martins uses traditional methods including foot trodding (when grapes are crushed by feet) and fermentation with indigenous yeasts to produce wines of the highest order.
Intense aroma of ripe fruits, wild herbs and a touch of minerality. Full bodied with a slight creamy note and a long finish. In its drinking prime, it also has wonderful ageing potential due to traditional methods used such as grapes crushed by feet, extended skin contact and fermentation in open tanks (lagares) using natural yeasts.
