    Product description

Cool climate Shiraz sourced from selected vines in Adelaide Hills. Wild yeast fermented with partial whole-bunch and whole-berry methods, followed by extended maceration. The wine ages for 18 months in French oak 300L puncheons and 500L hogsheads, with 25% new barrels. Featuring 12 distinct Shiraz clones. This wine presents lifted fruit flavours of red cherry, currants and dark plum on the nose. The palate intensifies with flavours of pomegranate, cinnamon and spice and a textural earthy finish with soft silky tannins.

    About the producer: Sidewood Estate

Sidewood Estate is a privately owned vineyard, nestled in the Adelaide Hills, the heart of Australian cool climate wine. Owen and Cassandra Inglis purchased the estate in 2004 with a desire to create stylish and elegant wines, focussed on quality and underpinned by impeccable winemaking. All of the grapes are carefully handpicked from selected rows across the 300 acre estate before being handed over to internationally acclaimed winemaker, Darryl Catlin.
