A brilliant example of Riesling from Clare Valley by this small family owned estate. Rich and full on the palate, it is sourced from low-yielding old vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 6 months on its lees. Absolutely delicious.
“Bred in the purple; the estate vineyards are 40yo, and the Mitchells have been on the case every year since then. They know how this wine will develop given a minimum of 5 years in bottle. it has the requisite length and balance, citrus and acid the engines to keep it accelerating of years” – 95 Points James Halliday, Wow Factor Whites 2015
