2014 Les Charmes de Kirwan, 2nd Wine of Château Kirwan Margaux

Named after Mark Kirwan, this estate has regained its reputation in the 1990s, when renown oenologist Michel Rolland started consulting at the estate, producing deeper and fuller wine and with more complexity.

Thier second wine has a fresh and fruity nose of cherry, raspberry and ripe strawberry alongside notes of tobacco and herbs. Medium to full body, the palate is delicate and round.

Château Kirwan, a 3ème Cru Classé Margaux, spreads over 35 hectares of vineyards in Cantenac. It has been owned by the négociant firm, Schröder and Schÿler since 1925 and has regained its reputation since the 1990s, when Michel Rolland started consulting at the estate. The Château now produces wines that are richer, fuller and with more depth and complexity.

Offered for sale ‘En Primeur’ under bond. Price shown is per case (6x75cl bottles) and excludes UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond.
