Cesare Pio was one of the first people to realise and believe in the quality of Piedmont’s wine, particularly in Barolo. Owning some of the best vineyard in Alba, Pio Cesare is known for blending the different characteristics of each plot in order to produce premium wines that represent the styles of each appellation as a whole.
Very elegant and pure on the nose with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and violets and hints of spice. Silky on the palate with good concentration of fruits and elegant tannins.

Aromas of underbrush, ripe berry and tobacco mingle with balsamic notes of camphor. Full-bodied, with depth and weightless elegance, the taut palate features dried cherry, blood orange, licorice and graphite alongside firm, fine-grained tannins.
