Pelassa are swiftly gaining a reputation amongst Piedmont’s best, winning rewards and generating interest around the world.
After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is matured in Slovanian and French wooden casks for 2 years and another 12 months in bottle. Complex nose with fresh crushed berries, violet and herbal notes. Velvety and rich on the palate with firm tannin and great length. A powerful wine.
“Red-berry, rose, crushed herb, and espresso aromas come together on this while the dense palate doles out black cherry, fleshy raspberry, grilled herb and a hint of clove. Tightly wound, assertive tannins leave a firm finish. Drink 2018–2023.” – 90pts Wine Enthusiast, January 2016
