    Product description

Adjacent to Château Lafite Rothschild, this small property has seen a revival in 2009 when new owners, Jacky and Françoise Lorenzetti expended the domaine and modernised the cellar. Helped by famous oenologist Eric Boissenot, they have significantly boosted the quality of their wines, constantly achieving over 90pts from various critics, while prices have stayed within reach so far.

Aged for 14 months in oak barrels (60% new). Complex and elegant aromas of cherry and blackcurrant with hints of sandalwood and tobacco. A refined Bordeaux with good depth and velvety tannins. Great length.

    About the producer: Château Pédesclaux

Château Pédesclaux is one of Bordeaux’s most exciting stories. Located between Ch. Mouton Rothschild and Ch. Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac, the estate was founded after the French revolution by Urbain Pierre Pédesclaux who built the estate’s reputation before it was granted the classification of Fifth Growth in 1855. Since 2009, it has been in the hands of Jacky Lorenzetti, part owner of the well-respected Ch. D’Issan, who acquired some top rated Pauillac’s parcels, built a state-of-the-art winery and hired the services of eonologist Eric Boissenot. His goal is to make Pédesclaux a top fifth growth competing directly with Pontet-Canet and Lynch-Bages. Enormous investment and dedication have significantly boosted the quality of their wines, while prices have stayed within reach so far.  View our selection.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

The estate spreads over 48 hectares of vineyards planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grand vin is aged for 14 months in oak barrels of which 60% is new.

    Wines Produced

Château Pédesclaux (grand vin) and Fleur de Pédesclaux (second vin)
