    Product description

    Hailing from the Friuli DOC, a region in the northeast of Italy, where grapes are grown in a cool and hilly area. Made from 100% Malvasia, a variety that is full of wonderful aromatics. It has expressive aromas of pressed flowers and exotic fruits such as pineapple and guava. The palate is rich and full-bodied from the eight months of lees ageing, which adds complexity and a slight creaminess.

    This is an elegant and brilliantly balanced wine that is an ideal partner to creamy seafood or pasta dishes and grilled poultry.

     

    Elegant and inviting, with honeysuckle, honey, orange and mandarin leading to a palate of chamomile, citrus peel and lemon.

    About the producer: Modeano

    Modeano is an ancient village in the Friulian Riviera with a rich history of wine production dating back to Roman times. Norberto Marzotto, the estate’s founder, played a pivotal role in reviving the region’s wine production in the early 20th century. Now, Gabriele Vialetto and his wife Emanuela run the estate with passion. Their modern winery is in a farmhouse bordering the small church of Madonna del Rosario. Modeano’s vineyards, between Venice and Trieste, benefit from sea breezes that make wines rich in concentration and aromatics. The 32 hectares of vineyards have well-drained clay soils with minerals from the ice age, enhancing Modeano’s wines in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Read more

    Returns

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
